The Box Office is accessible through the door to the left of the main theatre lobby entrance nearest the corner of 7th Avenue & Union Street in Downtown Seattle.

The Box Office is closed on weekends, except during showtime operations, and for the following company holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • President’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Indigenous People’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve

When a holiday falls on a weekend, the Federal or State observed day will be recognized by ACT Contemporary Theatre.

TICKETING
ACT’s Box Office sells tickets for all productions and handles ticket exchanges, group sales, gift certificates, and customer service requests.

Tickets are sold subject to availability. Exchanges are available by phone or email during regular business hours.

Tickets will be mailed to the address on file. Purchasers may opt to receive mobile tickets instead. ACT Contemporary Theatre considers mobile tickets the default method of ticket delivery. Tickets can be mailed by request.

Mobile Tickets
With mobile tickets, tickets are delivered electronically to the email address used 5 days prior to the performance. Mobile tickets can be displayed on any handheld device, such as phone or tablet, or can be printed at home. Mobile tickets can also be managed directly within ACT online accounts.

Mobile tickets can also be accessed from ticket purchase and account screens on our website or by contacting the Box Office.

Will Call
Will call is available for all performances. If tickets are inaccessible or have been lost, contact the Box Office for reprints.

TICKET POLICIES
Ticket Fees
ACT serves as the owner and steward of the National Historic Landmark Building on behalf of the City of Seattle. Each ticket is subject to a $9 Historic Theatre Fee to support ongoing efforts to maintain this civic treasure.

Each order includes an $8 transaction/handling fee. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable except in the case of show cancellation.

Subscriber Exchanges
As a benefit of purchasing a subscription ticket package, subscribers receive fee-free exchanges regardless of reason.

To exchange tickets for another performance date, please contact the Box Office at 206.292.7676 or boxoffice@acttheatre.org in advance of current ticketed performance. Note that upgrade fees may apply should higher-priced tickets be selected.

Single-Ticket Exchanges
To exchange tickets, please contact the Box Office at 206.292.7676 or boxoffice@acttheatre.org as soon as possible and at least 1 hour prior to the start of the ticketed performance time. Options include:

  • Exchange tickets to another performance of the same show (note that upgrade fees may apply should higher-priced tickets be selected).
  • Place the value of tickets on account to be used for a future performance in the same season.
  • Place the value of tickets on a gift certificate to be used for a future performance in the same season.

Please note that except in cases of illness or personal emergency, a $10 service fee will apply.

Performance Cancellations
If ACT cancels a performance, notification will be sent via email and purchaser can select from following options:

  • Exchange tickets to another performance of the same show with no exchange fee (note that upgrade fees may apply should higher-priced tickets be selected).
  • Donate ticket(s) back to ACT for a tax-deductible donation.
  • Place the value of tickets on account to be used for a future performance in the same season.
  • Place the value of tickets on a gift certificate to be used for a future performance in the same season.
  • Receive a full refund, less transaction fees.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
A “Know Before You Go” email will be sent prior to performance. This communication contains up-to-the- moment information including food and beverage options, parking, and special offers.
