To Our Valued Patrons:

Thank you for your continued support and patience during this unprecedented time. We’re immensely grateful for the outpouring of support we have received, even as our communities face hardship and uncertainty.

Ever since the pandemic struck, we have worked hard to find a pathway to produce our milestone 55th Mainstage season. However, after very careful consideration, we have made the determination that none of the scenarios we modeled are feasible.

As a result, we have had to make one of the most difficult decisions we have ever made at ACT, but in the end there was no other choice. Due to the impact of COVID-19, we will be unable to deliver the amazing season of programming we had planned for you in 2020.
The mandated ban on large group gatherings affects our ability to safely welcome you into our building. Of course, this also directly affects out ability to produce live theatre because we cannot build the sets, make the costumes, cast or rehearse — all absolutely vital functions in putting plays on stage.
Our cancelled performances include all 2020 Mainstage Performances, our ACTLab Season, and the Young Playwrights Program.
The 2020 Mainstage Season included:
· Sweat (March 20 – April)
· The Effect (April 17 – May 10)
· Choir Boy (June 5 – 28)
· The Laugh Track (September 11 – October 4)

· Witch (October 23 – November 15)

Ticketholders have received an email with additional instructions.

We hope you will consider donating the value of your ticket(s) back to ACT. Choosing to donate your ticket value will help to sustain our theatre through this difficult time.

If your donation is more than $100, you will receive opportunities to engage with the theatre in new ways, as a member of ACT’s Partner Circles, including behind-the-scenes tours and more. If you have already donated a portion of your fees, that gift will count toward your total donation amount.

You may also choose to convert the value of your tickets into an ACT Gift Certificate. ACT Theatre Gift Certificates have no expiration date. Feel confident in these uncertain times that you will be able to see a show on ACT’s stage just as soon as we re-open.

During this time, we continue to imagine how we can bring world-class theatre to you in new ways. We are developing brand-new digital content so you can enjoy ACT Theatre at home. Please stay tuned for more information.

We look forward to gathering with you at ACT and the celebrations to come when we can once again welcome you to our theatre for live in-person performance.
