In this time of COVID, everyone seems to be baking.

Core Company member Anne Allgood has been baking longer than that. She actually sings about it in a production at the Rendezvous Theatre in Seattle called Bon Appetit (An Evening with Julia Child). The play is hosted by Julia Child’s great-niece, actress Julie Prud’homme, who tells stories and shares memorabilia before Anne appears as Julia and sings a 20-minute aria while baking a chocolate cake onstage!

So, it’s no wonder that Anne sings and bakes a cake in her ACTShorts video.

Check out the recipe for the French chocolate cake Anne bakes in Bon Appetit in the New York Times.

“It’s really really good and I’ve baked it like 30 or 40 times now,” says Anne. “You’ll love it.”
