Discrimination and violence against Asians, Asian Americans, and Peoples of the Pacific Islands has increased over the period of the pandemic due to racism and unchecked white privilege, including a rise in hate and discrimination in Seattle and the horrific murders in Atlanta. Our Board, Staff, and Artists call upon leaders to protect the AAPI community and demand proper justice be served upon Robert Aaron Long for the murders of Delaina Ashley Yaun, Xiaojie Tan, Daoyou Feng, Paul Andre Michels, Elicias R Hernandez-Ortiz, Hyun Jung Grant, Soon C Park, Suncha Kim, and Yong A Yue.
We condemn all acts of racism, misogyny, and those that support white supremacy.
