Internationally acclaimed drag artist BenDeLaCreme is joined by an all-star cast of comedy, dance, cabaret and burlesque luminaries for a tale of Halloween horror sure to leave you howling!

Pull up a seat in the heart of Gaylord Manor and watch the horror unfold all around you! Look on in terror as two pompous paranormal researchers and an unwitting ingenue find themselves in Count Baron Von Gaylord’s murderous mansion on Halloween night. Soon they are terrorized by vampire vixens, well-built werewolves, mischievous mummies, and witches that WERK. Gird your loins…you never know what’s going to burst out of the closet at Gaylord Manor!

Jason Mondine (Mother Puppeteer) is a life-long puppeteer, professionally trained by veteran Muppet performers Noel MacNeal and Peter Linz. He has served as performer and puppet captain on shows ranging from the kid-friendly Cando Christmas Special to the sinister Victorian Hotel by Angus Oblong. Jason also regularly performs at Seattle’s own Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam, and his own franchise, the Zoo Pack, is rapidly becoming a fixture at Woodland Park Zoo.

Kevin Heard (Associate Producer/Sound Design) is honored to be on the team bringing Gaylord Manor back to life (err, death) for the second year! Kevin is often proudly working with BenDeLaCreme to help facilitate whatever brilliant endeavor she’s up to, including her three Off-Broadway premieres and several international tours. His work as a sound designer has been heard on Broadway, Off-Broadway, internationally, and in dozens of regional theatre productions from coast to coast. Notable Seattle sound designs include The Legend of Georgia McBride (ACT Theatre, Gregory Award Nomination), Assassins (ACT & The 5th Avenue), Sweeney Todd (ArtsWest, BroadwayWorld Award for Best Sound Design), Buyer & Cellar (Seattle Rep), and Hedwig and the Angry Inch (STG). Liz Houlton (Dance Director) is a Minneapolis native, Seattle-based choreographer, and performer with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from California Institute of the Arts. Liz has co-produced evenings with Elby Brosch and Alyza DelPan-Monley (This That & the Other, May of 2017 at Velocity Dance Center) and Alyssa Casey (home home, an evening length at the Erickson Theatre Off Broadway in March of 2018). Under Virtualso, Liz is producing a podcast as well; Artist to Artist is a collection of interviews with artists in every stage of their career and medium, speaking to growth, perspective, and process. As an independent choreographer, Liz has presented works through Chop Shop Contemporary Dance Festival, Seattle International Dance Festival, the Seattle Fringe Festival, 3rd Shift’s Battle for the Dance Belt, Capitol Hill’s Art Walk with LoveCityLove, and Velocity Dance Center’s Bridge Project and Fall Kick Off. Her work was been commissioned by Minnesota Dance Theatre for their Fall 2015 season. Liz has been the Dance Director for BenDeLaCreme’s Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor since it’s premier in October of 2017.

Jennifer Zeyl (Original Scenic Designer) is so thrilled to be part of Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor! A Seattle-based scenic designer and director, she is the Artistic Director of Intiman Theatre, Founding Co-Artistic Director of Washington Ensemble Theatre, a Stranger Genius Award recipient and two-time Gregory Falls Best Scenic Designer. BFA Directing, BFA Theatre Design – University of Rhode Island 1996, MFA Scenic Design – University of Washington, 2003.

Christopher Balder (Properties Designer & Set Decorator) is a Seattle-based artist, interior, and scenic designer. Recent projects include production design for the upcoming film Slow Moving Houses (directed by Mischa Jacupcek, Zoo Break Productions), prop and scenic design for After the Funeral (directed by Marc Kenison, On the Boards), and production design for the VR film Potato Dreams and short film Little Potato (directed by Wes Hurley, Mechanical Dreams Productions). Mr. Balder was nominated for an Indie Award for production design for Capitol Hill Series, Seasons 1 and 2, (I Ate My Eye Films).

Robert J. Aguilar (Lighting Designer) is completely delighted to be working on this show again! Gaylord Manor is his favorite house to hang out in. Recent designs around town include: The Wolves (ACT); String (Village), MAC BETH (Seattle Rep), Native Gardens, HIR (Intiman). Other credits: Lizard Boy, I Am My Own Wife (Seattle Rep); Dragon Lady, Wedding Band and Angels in America (Intiman); How to Succeed… and Jasper in Deadland (5th Avenue); ZM, Afterwords, How to Break (Village); Alex and Aris, Daisy (ACT).

Shay Trusty (Production Stage Manager) has been working as a freelance stage manager in the Seattle area since 2016 and is excited to be back in the Manor for the second year. Previous Seattle stage managing credits include Little Shop of Horrors and Private Lives (Reboot Theatre Company), Anything Goes (WPP), and RENT: School Edition (Seattle Children’s Theatre). Shay will next be working at Seattle Repertory Theatre as a stage managing apprentice for their 2018/2019 season.

For over a decade BenDeLaCreme (known by her fans as “DeLa”) has combined her background in the performing & visual arts with a love of spectacle, glamour, and Saturday morning cartoons–dazzling crowds throughout the U.S., Europe, and Australia.

She is best known as Miss Congeniality from Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Her ravenous fan-base has since sky-rocketed her to the show’s 15 Fan Favorite Queens of All Time. She most recently appeared on television on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars on VH1.

DeLa has written three critically acclaimed solo shows, Terminally Delightful, Cosmos, and Inferno A-Go-Go, which all premiered Off-Broadway and have since toured to cities around the world. She has produced, written, directed, and performed in many of Seattle’s favorite shows including the first year of Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor, which enjoyed a month of sold-out audiences last year here at ACT Theatre.

A limited number of $20 Rush tickets will be available one hour prior to each performance. Please note that these tickets can only be purchased day-of and in-person at the ACT Ticket Office. Limit of two tickets per person. Please be prepared to stand for the entire performance.
