2019 Young Playwrights Program Celebration
Date: December 16, 2019 @ 6:30pm
Run Time: 100 minutes
Location: The Allen Theatre
Join us for a night to honor all writers who have completed ACT’s Young Playwrights Program (YPP) this fall! With special guest, award-winning playwright, musician, and performer Justin Huertas. ACT Theatre Core Company members will perform selected scenes from YPP plays, and Artistic Director John Langs will announce which eight plays have been selected for the 2019 Young Playwrights Festival in April.
A reception will follow in the Poncho Lobby to celebrate! (Seriously, what’s not to like about this?!)
About ACT’s Young Playwrights Program
Did you know that every year ACT Theatre partners with school communities to provide exceptional arts experiences to middle and high school students? Through a 10-week residency program, students work with playwrights and teaching artists to develop their own, original, one-act plays. ACT Theatre is proud to partner with ten schools and more than 300 students in 2019!
