Victoria (Tori) Thompson (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be Joining the Core at ACT Theatre where previously she worked on A Christmas Carol, Pass Over, The Year of Magical Thinking, The Wolves, Skylight, The Crucible, The Legend of Georgia McBride, and The Royale.
What are you most looking forward to as one of ACT’s newest core company members?
I think getting to be a part of conversations with other artists, part of the process of asking questions and of creating new work and systems.
What has made the biggest impact on your creativity as an artist?
I have been working on how to bring my full self to a project, not just fill an assumed role, and to trust myself. I’m still figuring out what that all looks like; it’s ongoing work but feels impactful to me personally.
Any creative projects you’re currently involved in/excited about?
I’m excited about my next project – stage manager on The Boy Who Kissed the Sky by Idris Goodwin and directed by Tim Bond at Seattle Children’s Theatre.
What are you most looking forward to in ACT’s upcoming season?
I am looking forward to all the upcoming shows, but I think especially History of Theatre.
What is one of your favorite roles at ACT and why?
I have been lucky to be on many great shows, but I think one of my favorites was stage managing The Wolves back in 2018. I was excited about that script to begin with and then loved the project because of the energy, passion, and community that everyone involved brought into the room.
