Zaki Barak Hamid is a Palestinian immigrant who was born and raised in Jordan. In the US since 1994, he received his bachelor’s degree in Theater from the University at Albany, and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Delaware. He is a leader in community engagement in the state of Washington, have spent several years creating statewide events at Humanities Washington. He serves as the Vice President of the Arab Center of Washington. Zaki also teaches Film, Mass Media, and Middle Eastern Film Studies at Everett Community College, the Creative Retirement Institute at Edmonds Community College, and OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute at UW.
