Nate Tenenbaum (He/Him) Screenwriter/Actor/Comic/Jewish latchkey kid, raised by Norman Lear, Aaron Sorkin and a bit of Fry and Laurie in Northwest London and West Philly. Nate grew up with the soul of a 50-year-old alcoholic vaudevillian vet trapped in the body of an eight-year-old, this combination resulted in a lot of “time-outs” and backhand smacks. After a familial stint as Jehovah’s Witnesses (15-18 years old), he discovered he could no longer allow his love of his mother and her love of G-d to overshadow his growing love of men, so he did what any budding queer punk did, ran away from home. After another stint as a “Vine Celeb” (did okay, a few hyper viral moments and endorsements) he eventually found himself “treading the boards” and currently prides himself on a healthy theatre career (In the “Before Time” and in our Restart) Being the first Jew of Colour to play “Mendel (The Middle)” in Seattle Repertory Theatre’s production of Paula Vogel’s “Indecent” he has also had the honor of Narrating ACT’s 2021 production of “A Christmas Carol”. He is proud to bring his vast and very bizarre history to his inaugural year as a new ACT Core Company member.
