Built over four decades, ACT's tradition as a leader in American contemporary theatre continues to grow through the modern masterpieces and exciting new works presented on these stages. Theatre of this caliber is not supported by box office revenue alone – ticket sales at ACT cover only 55% of production costs. As a not-for-profit institution, we depend on your generous support to make up the necessary difference.

You can also support ACT Theatre through the gift of time. Your support as a volunteer is extremely valuable to us.

Honorary and Memorial Gifts

A gift to ACT Theatre made in tribute is the perfect way to honor a special occasion or the memory of friend or loved one. These honorary and memorial gifts receive special recognition in ACT Theatre’s programs, and recipients of the honorary tributes will be personally notified of the generous gift made in their name.

Endowment

In 2002, ACT Theatre launched its endowment, which is imperative to the long-term viability and fiscal health of the theatre. In 2006, with the help of a challenge grant from The Kreielsheimer Remainder Foundation, ACT’s endowment doubled to nearly $2 million. With your contribution, this endowment will continue to grow, providing ACT with a strong and reliable revenue source.

Planned Giving

For those looking to help ensure the continued excellence of ACT Theatre, a planned or deferred gift is an excellent way to make a difference. Your strategic contribution, made through a bequest in your will, may support ACT’s Endowment, Annual Producing Fund, Young Playwrights Program, the Hansberry Project at ACT, or numerous other ACT programs.
